Welcome to The Settlers II: The Original Edition! This site covers a lot of information regarding the very original edition of The Settlers II by BlueByte.
This site is currently mostly in English. There is however also a page dedicated for Finnish visitors. I'm open for translations to other languages.
The game editions

Released in 1996, the original game came with the base ten chapter campaign and two player multiplayer capabilities and a skirmish mode.

- The Settlers II: Mission CD

Released later on in 1996, the Mission CD expanded the game with a map editor, a new world campaign and with 12 new maps. The original game was required.
- The Settlers II: Gold Edition

Released in 1997 the Gold Edition included the original game, the Mission CD and 130 fan-made maps. It also contained the latest version of the game.

- The Settlers II: Compilation Demo

This is an unofficial version of the game put together by me in 2004. As the name refers, it contains files from several official demo and update packages. If you're unable to find a legal source for the game, this is what you can download to enjoy a lot of the game.

- The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary

Released in 2006, the Anniversary edition of the game is an entirely new game, and unlike the original, comes with only three races: the Romans, the Japanese and the Nubians.
- The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary - Vikings

Released in 2007, Vikings expansion pack adds Vikings in to the new game with a campaign of 12 missions and fan-made maps.
